This blog is designed to document everyday life of new litters and life in general at Serenity Cats.
My name is Tim and I am the co-owner/operator of Serenity Cats. I help Jackie mostly with technical and morale support.
Jackie takes care of the day to day care, loving, playing and nurturing of these wonderful furry babies in their first few months of their lives.

Cat Tree

The cat tree by my desk has become my own little zen garden. I have been working a lot at the house lately and has been some stressful times, but I will many nights look just over to my right and see some wonderful little kittens to make me stop and smile.

Ragamuufins are just so wonderful that even if you don't have time for them they will still want to be near you. These little guys make a point to meow at me and give me a moment of encouragement from time to time.

You will also notice that I caught them here in a natural Ragamuffin pose. It seems that even though they aren't the most graceful cat... They still like to hang off the edge of something. :-)

We put Teryan and Quinn together this weekend.. Wish them luck... they will need it. Neither of them are proven breeders and we hope they figure it out. *smiles*

Ragamuffin Bouquet

I have been swamped with work over the past week and tonight wasn't much different. I was at my computer and pounding away at my keyboard when I just so happened to catch this view out of the corner of my eye. I could not resist stopping what I was doing and take a quick couple of snaps of the camera and show you the wonderful "Ragamuffin Bouquet" to my right.

This litter was just incredible and hope we have many more just like this one. There isn't a single one of them that isn't just incredible.

The reservations are now shaping up and we are starting to run out of kittens in this bunch to sell. We are also starting to get reservations of kittens from our next batches.

Next breeding should be Quinn and Taryn and then should be Koko after that. We aren't certain who the male will be since we are working out a deal with another breeder at the moment for another male.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

I am back

Well I am sorry but I was away on business all week and just was too swamped with work that I didn't make any posts. Jackie was going to try but with 4 boys, 1 litter of puppies, 2 litters of cats, cooking, cleaning and all the other things in life she just didn't get time.

I was in Ohio this week and I was blasted with snow. 18" of snow was a bit much for an Okie to handle. No offense to you folks in the Northeast but you can keep the snow. :-)

It seems like the kittens grew a ton in the past few days... They seem soooo big to me this morning.

Well here is a couple of pics for ya. We have been calling this lil guy Smudge, since he has this little black patch by his nose. He is very cute and just a ham for the camera.

New Pics

We took some time out from watching the Super Bowl (Geaux Saints!) to get some new pics. Some of the personalities are just turning out incredible in this litter. I have a couple that if I weren't holding them during the game.. they were curled up ON my feet and sleeping. Really are some remarkable kittens in this bunch!

I will be swamped with work this week but will post when I can.

Wednesday Night Fights!

It was a very fun evening with the kitties tonight. They showed off and played for quite a while. I got some pretty good pics and threw a quick slide show together to show ya a sample of some of the pics. I will give you a link below if you want any of the pics for yourself.

Here ya go!

Just Another Day

It is just another day at Serenity Cats. The kitties are playing, sleeping and exploring their world. I caught this photo during one of the nap times. I just loved how the sable boy was peeking over the top here.

Jackie and I started planning what cat shows we would be attending this year today, and we decided we are going to try to go to 4 of them. 2 in Kansas, 1 in Missouri and then we will do the main Ragamuffin show in Florida in September. I am hoping that we can make all of these shows but will be very difficult with all the litters that we plan on having this year. I am sure we will have to find a balance between the two.

Hope ya’ll are having a good week.
Purrs,
Tim and Jackie
