What a wonderful season!

As we enter the holiday season, we just want to thank all of our customers, friends, family and colleagues. We have been really blessed to know each of you.

Here is a pic of one of our future queens. This is Oksana. She is a goof and a half. This is her being invisible in a case of water. :-)

Too Cute

Ohhh my isn't this little guy so cute!! He has a personality that is just irresistible. This little guy follows me all over the house and even climbs up on my pillow at night and doesn't move until I get up in the morning.

This little tabby is the reason that Ragamuffins are the best!

New Litters

We have 2 litters this week. Ashylynn/Quinn litter was born on Friday and Davinci/Maribelle litter was born on Wednesday. We will start posting pictures of these as the kittens develop more over the next couple of weeks.

We took a video today of kittens from Quincy/Coco. These are some really fluffy kittens. They are very good size and temperament.

We hope you enjoy the peek of them.

Home

Well it seemed like we spent a ton of time over the past week running back and forth from the airport. It was so wonderful to get the phone calls, emails and pics about how the kitties were doing in their new forever homes.

I can't tell you how rewarding it is to hear that they are doing great and fitting in, in their new environments. We spend so much time and effort making sure they are socialized and healthy going to their new homes. We just are overwhelmed with joy hearing from everyone the past couple of days.

Thank you for the updates and keep the pics coming in and be sure to give our kitty a hug and kiss from us.

Flying Kittens!

No, we aren't throwing kittens around the house or anything like that. We will be sending several kitties out this week though. Some are flying to the west coast and some are flying to east coast and some are going to points in between.

This is one of those bittersweet times for us. We have put all of our love into these little furry babies and now we are sending them to their forever homes. It is wonderful though that they will be going home where they will get much more focus of attention then we can give. We work really hard to love and nurture every single kitty but we can only hold so many kitties at a time. Now I guess one of the good things about having 4 boys at home is that we do have 4 other pairs of arms to help us with that task but still is a daunting task sometimes when you have a 1-3 litters running around.

We will be testing out our virtual store soon over the next couple of weeks. Soon we will be making available the products that we use personally and Jackie will have narrative as to why we choose certain products over others. We believe this will be of huge benefit to our clients, potential clients and the cat loving community that follows us here.

Caution!! Ragamuffins may make you late for work!!

Well I didn't actually make it to work late this morning but it sure was tempting to stay in bed longer. I had a little kitten that we are calling Button.. (He has a unique marking on his nose.. looks like a button) and he woke me up this morning snuggling my face and purring. He would roll over on his back on my chest and close his eyes while I rubbed his tummy.. It was so peaceful and relaxing to have this cute little "Button" snuggle me and I think 20 minutes passed while this was going on. I finally just had to pick him up and lay him on my pillow while I rushed to the shower. What a joy they can be!!

We have a new litter that was born over the past couple of weeks. You can find their pics on our kittens page in the next couple of days. This is a small but really wonderful litter of kittens. They all have very thick fur and very unique markings. Be sure to check them out.

We have several cats ready to go home now. Perfect treat for Trick or Treat season.. !!

Taryn Kittens Going Home

Well it is finally time! Taryn's litter of kittens will be starting to go home soon. We still have two of her kittens available. The two carrot top boys are still waiting for good homes. I originally had hoped they would go together since they used to be so inseparable, but now that they are mixed in with 2 other litters of kittens.... they tend to play with whoever is closest.  I would hope people will start looking at these two little guys and adopt them. They are sooooooooo cute with their red heads and they both are nearly identical. The only way that I can tell them apart is that one of the them has a white tip on their tail. Other than that they are both just incredibly good looking and have personality that will win over anyone.

Take a look at these guys....

These batches of kittens has been really incredible. They are all learning and growing so fast and there isn't one of them that I wouldn't want to keep personally. They have some of the most incredible personalities and markings that it is hard for me to actually have a "favorite".

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe labor day weekend!

Network Outage

Sorry about the http://serenitycats.com being down the past 12 hours. Our internet provider was having issues but all should be back now.

The blog runs on a different server so it should be up even when our main site is down. I will remember to post here if that happens again. We aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The business is better than ever and we plan to expand our services soon to include being able to buy our recommended cat food, toys, furniture etc... direct from us very soon.

More pics to come this weekend!

Kittens Kittens Kittens

What a wonderful set of litters we have currently. Every litter we have had has been wonderful but we have so many stunning and wonderful kittens in these batches that it is almost overwhelming. Since Jackie and I work continuously at socializing each kitten we work real hard at getting to know each of their personalities. I usually have 1 or 2 of my favorites in every batch.. but this time I am smitten by all of them. Last night as we were going to sleep we were mauled by all of them. One by one every kitten popped up on the bed and snuggled up by us to settle down. I didn't have enough hands to go around. (what a wonderful problem to have)

I was in Carmel, CA the past week and when I got home I was so glad to see the progress of the three litters. They are growing so quick now and it is getting hard to capture in pictures all the changes that are happening so quickly. Jackie has been doing a great job though at taking pictures and updating the site on a weekly basis. So the pictures you see have been only been a few days old. We will soon be adding new Koko Peli pics to the site. Her kittens are starting to open their eyes and they are starting to fill in and look like little kittens :-)

I know summer isn't quite over yet but people are starting to inquire alot more now about kittens. Many of you were waiting to get past summer/vacations to reserve your kittens but if you see a kitten that you have your eye on, you better reserve it now. We have several people that already have deposits in and several more that are talking that they will in the next few days. Several of these guys will be ready to go home here in the next few weeks and usually once that hits.. they seem to fly out the door. So be sure to give us a call or an email asap if you are even thinking about one of these guys.

Hope you all are enjoying your summer. I know here in Oklahoma we are looking forward to some cooler weather. I was fortunate enough to spend all of last week in Carmel, CA and I don't think the temperature ever got above 72 degrees and I was freezing at night. It was a wonderful break from the 100+ weather that we have seen over the past weeks.

Congratulations to Koko Peli

Well Koko had her litter of kittens last night. We have 6 kittens that are an assortment of minks, bi-color and sables. We are absolutely in love with every last one of them. We knew that this would be an outstanding litter.

We now have 20 kittens total between Koko, Taryn and Jazmina. We have a rainbow of colors to choose from now and I really don't know if I had to choose one kitten from this bunch... I doubt I could. Every last kitten in this assortment is incredible and we are having so much fun loving on each and every one of them.

We will try to get pictures uploaded tonight.

Carrot Top Boys

Introducing the "Carrot Top Brothers". These two little guys are always together and they are so much much fun to watch. Would love to see these two get adopted together if possible but I know they would be good in any home situation. These guys have awesome personalities and some very unique markings.

I missed a really cool pic of them this afternoon as they snuggled each other. They were face to face with arms wrapped around each other. It was soooo cute and I missed out on the pic when their momma decided to move closer to them during nap time.

One more pic to add here as we draw the weekend to a close.

If you are thinking about taking one of these guys... you should get your deposit in a soon as possible. We are getting lots of inquiries on a daily basis.

Think I will show off the blue tortie point kitty in the next couple of days. Stay tuned.

Mina Kittens

Ok on June 25th Mina had her kittens and we now have 2 wonderful litters of kittens on the ground. I am totally blown away about how many awesome kittens we have.

We are also happy to say that Koko is pregnant and we will have Koko kitties on the way very soon.

This weekend I will start doing some kitten spotlights like I did in the past with previous litters. I think I will start with the "carrot top" boys. They are very cool kittens and we are a little sad that they are boys because we really don't need any boys around here. We have all the males that we need within our cattery. So we believe that someone will get a some really awesome kitties.

We hope you all are having a wonderful summer!

Taryn Kittens

Well as many of you know we had kittens last weekend and the kitties have already doubled their size in one week.

Taryn is a terrific mommy cat! She jumped right in the birthing box as she was starting labor and gave birth to some very beautiful kittens. She also has done a great job doing her mommy duties since then. I am very pleased with her and glad she is recovering well.

We also already have one chosen over the weekend. The tuxedo kitten is now named Truffles and will be going home to Kansas as soon as she is ready to go.

If any of these little cuties catch your eye.. now is the time to place a deposit on them. They go very quickly and even if you aren't certain which one you want yet, put in your deposit now so that you are in line to get choose first.

Jazmina should be having her kittens any time now. I am still hoping she makes it another couple of weeks but she is starting to act like it might be any day now. Keep her and us in your prayers.

June 1st Update

Well it is a new month and have gotten a whirlwind of events behind us.

We picked up some cats in Kentucky to help another breeder out. We went to a CFA catshow in Texas and we believe we have 3 litters of cats on the way.

We did very well at the catshow in Texas. We learned lots of new things and made several new friends.

This is a cat tree that we picked up while at the show. It is a beautiful piece of furniture and we got it at a great price. I highly recommend this furniture and Cat Tree Steve is really a great guy. I only wish that he would ship his trees. Currently you would have to meet him at the CFA cat shows to obtain one of these beautiful items.

Cat Tree Steve's links are below for those interested in contacting him.

More news that we have going on is that we think we have 3 litters in the making as we speak. First up is

Osten and Taryn should be having the first litter. We are still a few weeks out but this should be a beautiful pairing and the possibility of colors will be endless. We are very excited about this pairing.

Next litter is Osten again but paired up with our famous Jazmina

This should also be a great pairing with a grab bag of possibilities as well.

Lastly we have

Davinci and Koko Peli

I cannot even tell you how excited we are about this pairing. Should be lots of minks and possibly some sables.

We have a lot going on and we are very excited about all the happenings going on around here.

Thanks for watching our posts!

Update

Just thought I would give a quick update of what's happening around here these days

We are down to one kitty left from the Dav - Thea - Lily litters.
Sometimes it seems strange to me but some of our most beautiful cats are the last ones picked. This little girl is one of our unique kitties and she is still waiting for a home. If she doesn't then we will make her a queen here since she has such wonderful markings.

We have two and maybe possibly a third litter on the way. We borrowed a wonderful stud from another cattery and we are expecting that Mina, Taryn and possibly Koko are all expecting.
We will keep you all updated on this.

We are planning on attending a cat show in Texas in May. We still aren't certain who we are taking but we are definitely going.

Tim & Jackie

Its a little quieter...

Over the weekend we had three more kitties go home. Smudge, Bentley (aks Chocolate Chip) and Sydney left with their adoptive parents. Things are a little quieter with half of the 2 litters gone.

I also just found out that Little Wayman (aka Boo) will be leaving tomorrow. A nice family from Norman will be picking him up in the morning. Yeah Boo!
I will be doing little spotlights on each of the kittens that we have left. I will probably start off with a wonderful little girl that I have been calling blue nose. She has this wonderful  marking on her nose and really gorgeous eyes. I have talked about her a couple of times in the past and I am really surprised that no one has picked her up yet. She really is amazing!

Well thats about all I have time for tonight. Will give you all some more tomorrow.

Going Home...

Well these two litters are ready to go home. We saw Cooper(aka Diego) go home today and we have 3 more leaving before the week is over.

This is always a bittersweet time for us. We love those furry babies sooooo much and will miss them terribly but we are also excited that they can go home and have some extra 1:1 attention and start to become part of their forever home.

If any of you were holding out on buying one of these little guys, now is the time to do it. It seems like once they are clear to go home is when people make fast decisions.I am sure that the rest of these little guys will go quick now.

We are working on a couple of additions to the cattery this week. Stay tuned for more info....

Testing posts

I have been testing Twitter this morning to see if I can get posts to you from my iPhone. Since Jackie and I are going to a cat show here in a couple of weeks and I want to share the experience with y'all.

In the meanwhile I have found an app (there is always "an app for that") that will let me post from my phone. Thanks Google!

Also testing pic upload from phone. You all have seen this before, so excuse the repost. I am playing! :-)

Cat Tree

The cat tree by my desk has become my own little zen garden. I have been working a lot at the house lately and has been some stressful times, but I will many nights look just over to my right and see some wonderful little kittens to make me stop and smile.

Ragamuufins are just so wonderful that even if you don't have time for them they will still want to be near you. These little guys make a point to meow at me and give me a moment of encouragement from time to time.

You will also notice that I caught them here in a natural Ragamuffin pose. It seems that even though they aren't the most graceful cat... They still like to hang off the edge of something. :-)

We put Teryan and Quinn together this weekend.. Wish them luck... they will need it. Neither of them are proven breeders and we hope they figure it out. *smiles*

Ragamuffin Bouquet

I have been swamped with work over the past week and tonight wasn't much different. I was at my computer and pounding away at my keyboard when I just so happened to catch this view out of the corner of my eye. I could not resist stopping what I was doing and take a quick couple of snaps of the camera and show you the wonderful "Ragamuffin Bouquet" to my right.

This litter was just incredible and hope we have many more just like this one. There isn't a single one of them that isn't just incredible.

The reservations are now shaping up and we are starting to run out of kittens in this bunch to sell. We are also starting to get reservations of kittens from our next batches.

Next breeding should be Quinn and Taryn and then should be Koko after that. We aren't certain who the male will be since we are working out a deal with another breeder at the moment for another male.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

I am back

Well I am sorry but I was away on business all week and just was too swamped with work that I didn't make any posts. Jackie was going to try but with 4 boys, 1 litter of puppies, 2 litters of cats, cooking, cleaning and all the other things in life she just didn't get time.

I was in Ohio this week and I was blasted with snow. 18" of snow was a bit much for an Okie to handle. No offense to you folks in the Northeast but you can keep the snow. :-)

It seems like the kittens grew a ton in the past few days... They seem soooo big to me this morning.

Well here is a couple of pics for ya. We have been calling this lil guy Smudge, since he has this little black patch by his nose. He is very cute and just a ham for the camera.

New Pics

We took some time out from watching the Super Bowl (Geaux Saints!) to get some new pics. Some of the personalities are just turning out incredible in this litter. I have a couple that if I weren't holding them during the game.. they were curled up ON my feet and sleeping. Really are some remarkable kittens in this bunch!

I will be swamped with work this week but will post when I can.

Just Another Day

It is just another day at Serenity Cats. The kitties are playing, sleeping and exploring their world. I caught this photo during one of the nap times. I just loved how the sable boy was peeking over the top here.

Jackie and I started planning what cat shows we would be attending this year today, and we decided we are going to try to go to 4 of them. 2 in Kansas, 1 in Missouri and then we will do the main Ragamuffin show in Florida in September. I am hoping that we can make all of these shows but will be very difficult with all the litters that we plan on having this year. I am sure we will have to find a balance between the two.

Hope ya’ll are having a good week.

This is our first attempt at video. I don't think I realized how much work it really could be. Well hope you enjoy and we will keep making more.

Hope your week starts off well.

Winter in Oklahoma

We had a good snowstorm here the past few days. We spent half the day yesterday getting unburied. I will say though that all the times I gave Jackie a hard time about having a snow blower in Oklahoma as silly... sure did come back to bite me. The snow blower sure made short work for the driveway.

We are spending the evening this evening working on videos and pictures and we definitely will have pictures updated tonight and hopefully video as well.

Kitten Spotlight (Diego)

Yesterday I talked about a kitten that I have given a nickname Diego. Please note we make nicknames for kittens so that Jackie and I can understand who we are talking about but we normally just call all of them kitty or kitten when we are calling them. This way it is easier for their forever parents to name them and they will answer to it sooner. Here is a picture of the little "Explorer" himself.

Sorry folks but this little guy has a couple of families looking at him who have put down their deposits. This happened very recently and I encourage you that if you see a kitten you are possibly wanting, please put in your deposit quick because they get spoken for quickly.

We are more than likely going to get snowed in tomorrow, so will be home with plenty of time to edit video... so stay tuned. :-)

Personalities

We are starting to see personalities develop over the past few days. I am working on some video now to show you all, so that you can see for yourself.

There is one I was calling Dora up till Jackie told me it was a boy, you know like "Dora the Explorer". This little kitten makes a run to break loose and explore whenever it can. Tonight it broke out and ran right for me and I picked him up and instantly he started nuzzling my face and licking my nose. What a wonderful little personality that one will have.

All the kittens are now mobile and getting around very
well. I am always excited during this phase... this is where the socialization really picks up and our time is
focused on making their personalities really come out. It is a wonderful job to have!

Keep tuned for video and pics.

New Kittens

On January 3rd we had four kittens born to Lily and DaVinci. Then on January 4th we had another litter of 5 kittens born to Thea and DaVinci. It was a very busy couple of days and we were exhausted after it.

Over the next several weeks I will be posting comments, pictures and videos showing their growth progress.

Stay tuned for more to come!
